From information third parties give to us

We may get information about you from our partners and affiliate services or through other third parties such as advertising networks, search engine providers, analytics providers and social networking sites.

Do we have any access to your financial data or login information?

Our software lets you add details of the accounts which you want to access through Bud (account aggregation). Bud never sees your credentials when you link your bank accounts, they are sent directly to your bank using bank-level security. We will only ever ask for what you bank asks for, which for most banks is only certain characters of your passwords. We realise how absolutely critical it is to you that this data is stored and managed securely. Bud takes security extremely seriously. Every user has their own unique encryption key that is not known to Bud. This key is used to encrypt and decrypt all of their sensitive data. All user keys use military-grade encryption (256-bit+) to ensure the upmost privacy and security for our users. We are never ever able to access your log-in information and no-one at Bud has access to your transaction data.

How do we use your data in providing our services?

How else do we use your personal data?

In order to help you get the most from account aggregation our software uses your anonymised transaction data, and those of other users, to categorise transactions and provide usable tags. Where you add tags to transactions our software can learn from that process to improve the tagging process.

We will use some of your personal data to track the services you use through our website for the purpose of validating the data provided to us by our partners and affiliates and to track any remuneration that may be due to us.
